Laser Doppler Vibrometer
LV-1800

Unceasing evolution is deepening non-contact vibration measurement.

The LV-1800 Laser Doppler Vibrometer is a non-contact vibrometer that achieves more than 10 times higher sensitivity compared to conventional products through a newly designed interference optical system, and also allows for confirmation of the laser irradiation position using a built-in camera.
In recent years, small ultrasonic actuators using piezoelectric elements, as well as mobile phones, smartphones, and digital cameras incorporating MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems), have become widespread. In the automotive sector, inverters and peripheral devices used in EVs/HEVs vibrate at frequencies exceeding 20 kHz. However, existing contact-type Accelerometer, which are widely used for vibration detection, have difficulty measuring vibrations in the ultrasonic range of minute components.
By using the non-contact LV-1800, vibrations can be detected quickly and easily. Furthermore, by combining it with a waveform analysis device (FFT analyzer), it becomes possible not only to measure vibrations but also to capture, visualize, and analyze the vibration state with high precision.

Features

High-sensitivity camera integrated with the sensor

The target object and the area where the laser beam is irradiated can be displayed and checked on a Windows PC without any decrease in sensitivity.

Significantly improved detection sensitivity

A newly designed interference optical system has resulted in a 10-fold (+20 dB) increase in detection sensitivity compared to conventional models. This expands the range of detectable objects and eases constraints on sensor installation and setup.

With up to 4 ranges, it can measure a wide range of targets.

The detectable amplitude range has been expanded from 0.05 µm/s (*) to 10 m/s. This allows for the detection of a wide range of object behavior, from the high-speed amplitudes of piezoelectric elements to the extremely small amplitudes emitted by thin films, MEMS, and ceramic capacitors. (*)...When the LV-0800 micro-speed range board is installed.

Focus location and detection status can be grasped at a glance.

The sensor is equipped with a level indicator. You can adjust the settings while monitoring the focus position and detection status right at your fingertips.

Easy to store and move.

Compared to previous models, the main unit is 33% lighter. The unit also features built-in sensor housing and cable winding, allowing for safe storage and transport. The optional storage trunk can accommodate the main unit, as well as a magnetic stand, lighting unit, and other accessories.

Options + Measurement for a powerful solution

A wide range of dedicated options enable various detection scenarios. Furthermore, the waveform analysis device and software visualize the behavior and characteristics of the target from the waveform, providing a powerful and smooth solution.
