The NP-0081N20 is an adapter that adds TEDS functionality to a built-in preamplifier type acceleration pickup that does not support TEDS.
By writing the information of the acceleration pickup connected to this device (sensitivity information, calibration information) and connecting it to a TEDS-compatible measuring instrument along with the acceleration pickup, you can utilize the functions of TEDS sensors.
Since it connects directly to the input terminal of the measuring instrument, it does not interfere with measurements without changing the cable wiring.

By writing and recording the unique information (sensitivity information, calibration information) of the non-TEDS compatible sensor onto the dedicated chip inside the NP-0081N20 TEDS adapter, the recorded sensor-specific information is automatically read by the TEDS-compatible measuring instrument it is combined with. This automates tasks such as sensitivity settings and helps prevent setup errors, thereby streamlining the preparation work before measurement.

The NP-0081N20 TEDS adapter is used in combination with built-in preamplifier acceleration pickups in a one-to-one configuration. If there are multiple sensors to be TEDS compliant, an equal number of TEDS adapters is required (one TEDS adapter cannot be used with multiple sensors). The built-in TEDS chip in the TEDS adapter contains the calibration information for the paired sensor, and the outer casing has a label with the model and serial number.

Furthermore, it is compatible with conventional CCLD (Constant Current Drive) type preamplifier built-in sensors, so it can still be used with measurement devices that do not support TEDS.
