The FP-3140/FP-3142 features a pressure-resistant explosion-proof structure. Because the rotational pulse generation section of the flow detector is fully enclosed, even if volatile gases enter and explode, the container will withstand the pressure and remain undamaged. Furthermore, the structure prevents the explosively hot gases from igniting explosive gases outside the container. Small and large flow rate types are available depending on the flow rate you wish to measure. Please contact your sales office for details.
The FP-3130S/FP-3132S (low flow rate, low pressure loss type) features a ventilated internal pressure explosion-proof structure. Explosion protection is maintained by increasing the internal pressure of the container to prevent explosive gases from entering the container.
Furthermore, it features a function to compensate for pressure loss by servo-driving a motor coupled to the rotary encoder, ensuring that the free piston is always in the neutral position (zero pressure difference). Therefore, fuel consumption can be measured without affecting the fuel supply pressure to the engine.

Features

1. Wide measurement range

The FP-3000 series positive displacement flow detector has a wide measurement range with a flow ratio of 1:400 or more. For example, when measuring engine fuel consumption, it can measure everything from minute flow rates at idle to large flow rates in high-load areas when using low-calorific value fuels such as alcohol.

Precautions when routing cables in hazardous locations

Please use a metal protective tube or similar.
At the boundary between hazardous and non-hazardous areas, measures such as sealing are required to prevent the flow of explosive gases.
When relaying cables in hazardous locations, explosion-proof junction boxes or similar structures are required.
Intrinsically safe explosion-proof circuits must be protected from interference from other circuits.
Please use cables rated at 600V as a general rule.
