AP-981

The AP-981 is resistant to nitric acid (concentration below 10%) and has a waterproof structure. It complies with protection grade 7 (IP X7), so it is not exclusively for underwater use, but can be used in environments where it may occasionally be submerged.
It incorporates magnetic resistance elements, permanent magnets, DC amplifiers, and voltage regulators, and is a magnetic flux response type (the resistance value changes according to the magnetic flux), allowing detection from ultra-low to high speeds (1 to 20,000 r/min (60 P/R)) as a rectangular wave output.

Detectable from close proximity at 0 r/min.
It is safe because it uses non-contact detection.
It is small, lightweight, and easy to install.
The installation position is fine anywhere as long as a gear can be attached to the object being measured.
Measurement is possible in environments that may be submerged and in an atmosphere with nitric acid mist.

The relationship between gear module and detection distance.

The detection distance varies depending on the module of the detection gear, with larger modules allowing for longer detection distances. Additionally, the detection distance is dependent on temperature, and especially in cases where the ambient temperature varies significantly, it is advisable to minimize the detection distance during installation. Furthermore, the detectable range shown in the figure is applicable when the duty cycle of the output waveform is within the range of 50% ± 20%.

The Magneto-Electric Rotation Detector (MP-9800 Series/AP-981) needs to align the center of the gear teeth with the positioning mark.
