High-speed F/V converter
FV-1500

The FV-1500 high-speed F/V converter is a highly responsive frequency (F)/voltage (V) converter that converts frequency signals proportional to rotational or moving speeds into voltage signals.
This system can handle the high-speed operation of motors used in hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as manufacturing lines in production plants. It can also measure startup characteristics, minute rotational fluctuations during steady-state rotation, and transient phenomena of flow velocity changes with high-speed response.

Features

  • Wide bandwidth 0.2 Hz to 320 kHz (1 Hz to 120 kHz for conventional products)

  • High-speed response: 1 cycle + 3.5 μs (1 cycle + 7.6 μs for conventional products)

  • Rapid deceleration tracking function that provides near-ideal output even when the frequency drops instantaneously.

  • Center frequency tracking function that amplifies only transient fluctuation components (optional)

  • Supports 2-phase signal input, enabling forward and reverse output based on rotation direction detection.

  • Comparator output (optional) for alarm control, etc.

Main uses

  • Motor startup characteristics

  • Measurement of rotational performance of various rotating equipment

  • Measurement of rotational fluctuations in engines and motors

  • Rotation performance test under overload

What is the rapid deceleration follow function?

Image of the operation of the rapid deceleration tracking function.
Image of the operation of the rapid deceleration tracking function.

This function slows down and stops the rotation output (analog speed) when the input signal decelerates rapidly, such as in a rotating object, and the input is no longer than the previous pulse interval.

When the tracking function is ON:
The analog output becomes 0 if no signal is input after waiting for the set number of preceding signal pulse intervals (1.5 to 16).
When tracking function is OFF:
After the input signal becomes 0 (OFF), the analog output is held at the minimum measurement frequency (0.2 Hz) before becoming 0.
