The founding spirit that supports Ono Sokki.

Because no one does it, it is worth the challenge.

Ono Sokki was born from the founder Giichiro Ono's "accumulation of challenges and ingenuity." In post-war Japan, starting from radio repairs learned as a hobby, the reputation of being a "skilled electrician" spread, and a sound level meter recognized for its precision was adopted by electrical testing laboratories. Subsequently, the electronic tube counter based on the oscillation frequency of the crystal oscillator he invented was linked to digital CPUs and developed as "digital technology."
Amidst the chaos of war, he studied electrical and mechanical engineering abroad and continued to challenge with his peers to create what was needed in the era, yet had never been made before. This spirit forms the foundation of today's Ono Sokki.
In 2024, we celebrated our 70th anniversary. As people's lifestyles and ways of thinking diversify, we have rephrased our corporate philosophy towards growth as a "100-year company." The new corporate philosophy reflects our unchanging significance in a rapidly changing society and our future vision of responding flexibly and swiftly to the environment. Inheriting the founding spirit of "there is value in challenging because no one else does," we, as a measurement instrument manufacturer, express our desire to "earnestly face the numbers. And, with the 'power to measure,' connect the 'now' and 'future' of social issues, and together create a sustainable and prosperous future."
