By combining a compact Fuel Density Meter, a volumetric flow detector, and a digital flow meter, we have achieved mass flow measurement with excellent rangeability.

The compact Fuel Density Meter FD-5110 can be connected to the digital flow meter FM-3100 to measure temperature and density data in real time.
Mass flow measurement is essential for detailed energy efficiency evaluation of engines.
In engine testing, density values change depending on the type of fuel, fuel temperature, and refueling.
The FP series, with its wide rangeability, allows for accurate measurement of mass flow rate using volumetric flow rate data and Fuel Density Meter-time changing density and temperature data from a densimeter.

Features

1. Achieves low pressure loss and improved accuracy in the low flow rate range.

When combined with the FP series positive displacement flow detector, it achieves pressure loss of 20 kPa or less (at 60 L/h).
The detector can be installed while minimizing pressure fluctuations in the flow path. Compared to the FZ-2200A, it offers improved accuracy in the low flow rate range, making it ideal for startup tests and other applications.

2. Enables density and mass flow rate measurement.

Compared to conventional products, it achieves a space saving of more than 50%. Mass flow measurement can be performed even in confined spaces.

3. Connectable to various volumetric flow detectors.

The FM-3100 enables mass flow measurement when combined with various FP series detectors, ranging from low to high flow rates, servo types, explosion-proof types, and vehicle-mounted types.
If you wish to add the FD-5110 detector to your existing FP-5000 series unit, we offer installation services via pick-up. (Installation fees will be quoted separately.)

4. Eliminate the complexity of mass conversion in mode testing and performance testing.

In engine research and development, tests are conducted using different fuels depending on the destination. Fuel density varies depending on the fuel. Also, even when the fuel is not changed, the fuel density changes when new fuel is added. When performing mass flow rate conversion, Fuel Density Meter can output changes in density values in real time, eliminating the need to input density values into the calculation unit in advance.
