Rotary Encoder Overview
A rotary encoder is a typical detector that converts mechanical rotational displacement (analog quantity) into electrical pulses (digital quantity). It is used in a wide range of applications in many fields, including measuring the position, angle, and speed of mechanical devices, and controlling the rotational speed and amount of rotation of motors.
We offer a wide range of rotary encoders to suit various applications, from general industrial use to special applications such as explosion-proof and heat-resistant types, as well as compact models that save space. We also offer roller encoders, an application of rotary encoders, for measuring distance and speed on conveyor belts and other systems.

| Features | Excellent impact resistance and axial load resistance High resolution, multiple pulse counts (61 types in total, up to 120,000 P/R) Selectable line driver output suitable for long-distance transmission is available. The power supply can be selected from AC or DC. Connection methods include the option of terminal blocks or connectors. By attaching an oil seal to the rotating shaft as specified and selecting a terminal block as the connection method, the device conforms to protection class IP65. Complies with CE marking and offers improved noise immunity. |
Explosion-proof type that satisfies explosion class d2G4 (Certification number T68417) Even if explosive gas enters the interior and ignites and explodes, the enclosure is designed to withstand the explosion pressure and prevent ignition of surrounding explosive gases. The power supply can be selected from AC or DC. A cable gland is used at the power line entry point. It can replace some parts of the RP-210 series. |

Roller encoder
A roller encoder allows for easy measurement of the line speed and length of a moving object.
Length meter
-
When used in combination with the TM-4300 series reversible counter, it can be used for measuring length.
Measurement of length
It can measure the length of rails and highways in 1 mm increments.
Line speedometer
-
The speed display is directly readable, eliminating the need for complicated calculations.
-
0 m/min: Can be detected from very close range.
Measurement of rotational speed difference/ratio
It can measure the elongation rate and reduction ratio of steel plates.
