Photoelectric rotation detector
LG-9200

The LG-9200 is a non-contact rotation detector that emits light (red, visible light) from its tip and detects the reflected light that returns after hitting a rotating shaft or rotating body. It is typically used with a reflective mark attached to the rotating shaft. Using a reflective mark (HT-011) allows for measurements from an oblique angle. It has a built-in small amplifier that shapes the waveform and outputs a square wave. While maintaining its lightweight and compact design, it has been improved in performance to twice that of previous models, with a maximum detection distance of 40 mm and a response speed of 40 m/s.

Features

  • Improved detection performance. Twice that of previous models (detection distance: maximum 40 mm, response speed: 40 m/s)

  • Easy alignment (with visible light and operation indicator lights)

  • 0 r/min: Detectable from close range.

  • Lightweight and compact design (approximately 150 g), with an integrated structure for the light emitter, light receiver, and amplification unit.

  • Splash-proof connector is included as standard equipment.

Features of the LG-9200 measurement device

Even if the sensor cannot be placed directly in front of the rotating object being measured, the reflective mark (HT-011) allows for measurement from an oblique angle. Furthermore, the use of red visible light as the measurement light source facilitates easy adjustment of the optical axis.

Case Studies

Fan rotation measurement

Attach reflective stickers (HT-011) to the fan blades and measure the rotation speed by shining the LG-9200 light on them.
By connecting to the TM-4000 series rotation indicator, it becomes possible to output analog rotation speed and determine the upper and lower limits of rotation speed.

Tracking Measurement

Vibration monitoring of bearing shafts and vibration testing of motors require simultaneous vibration measurement and rotational measurement.

  • Tracking Measurement

Motor rotation measurement

A reflective mark (HT-011) is attached to the motor's rotating shaft, and the LG-9200's light is shone on it to measure the rotation without contact.
By connecting to Digital Tachometer (TM-4000 series), it becomes possible to display the rotational speed and output data.

In addition to the 1-channel input type, the lineup includes four models: a 2-channel input type, a reversible counter, and a pass time/pass speed meter. Digital Tachometer can be customized to suit the connected equipment. This frequency/voltage (current) converter performs high-speed conversion of frequency signals, proportional to rotational speed or other speeds, into voltage and current in each cycle.
