Ignition pulse detector
IP-292/IP-296
This detector utilizes an electromagnetic induction method and is specifically designed for measuring the rotation speed of gasoline engines.
This system utilizes the fact that current changes in the primary cord or high-tension cord occur in sync with the spark, and uses the resulting magnetic field changes to generate another current change in the core winding, which is then converted into a voltage.
The IP-292 model simply clips onto the low-voltage primary side of the ignition cord, while the IP-296 model clips onto the high-voltage secondary side cord. Both models offer one-touch installation and are extremely easy to use.
This product is used in combination with our engine speed indicators (AR-7240B, CT-6700, HT-6200, SE-1620, GE-2500, etc.).
