Capacitive non-contact displacement sensor
VT-5200シリーズ
This newly developed capacitive gap detector, combined with a VT series transducer, provides non-contact, high-precision measurement of distance and displacement to a target object (conductive materials such as iron, aluminum, copper, and various metal platings). It measures the gap and displacement between the sensor end face and the target surface from the capacitance of the capacitor formed by the interaction between the object surface and the end face of the VE series sensor electrode. Two models are available: the VT-5210 with a response frequency of 4kHz and the VT-5220 with a high-speed response of 10kHz. It is highly effective for measuring and controlling shaft vibration and runout in rotating machinery such as turbines, electric motors, and compressors, as well as warping, flatness, and thickness of conductive materials such as silicon wafers and hard disks. Because it uses non-contact detection, it does not load the rotating or vibrating object, nor does it change the vibration mode. Nine types of VE sensors are available, covering measurement ranges from 20μm to 8mm. Capacitive non-contact displacement meter VT-5700 series (compact type for embedded applications) → *The capacitive non-contact displacement meter VT-5220 has been discontinued.
