Sound level meters and vibration level meters are designated as specified measuring instruments under the Measurement Law. Legally, when using them for trade or certification purposes, they must have passed "verification" or similar tests and bear a "verification mark" or "conformity mark."
Ono Sokki 's sound level meters are also sold with a "Certificate of Conformity" mark from a designated manufacturer.
