DG-0010

The gauge sensor output signal conversion box is a signal converter that converts the 2-phase signal (TTL) output from the GS/BS series linear gauge sensors into an open collector output (DG-0010) or line driver output (DG-0020). It allows direct connection to a PLC* via the signal converter. Long-distance transmission is also possible. *PLC: Programmable Controller

    Measuring 23 (W) x 29 (H) x 108 (L) mm, it can be compactly installed in control panels, etc.
    (DIN rail mounting kit must be provided by the customer: Takachi Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (CKD-80: for 32/35 mm) is used.)

    Effective for long-distance transmission of over 200 m. (Equivalent to RS-422A)

Important specifications when connecting DG-0010/DG-0020 to a PLC.

PLC requirements (when reading in 1 μm and 10 μm increments)
The output signal of the linear gauge sensor is a pulse signal with intervals of 4 μm (1 μm resolution) and 40 μm (10 μm resolution).
To read in 1 μm and 10 μm increments, the PLC requires the following functions.
(The 5 V / 100 mA power supply for the linear gauge sensor is provided by DG-0010/DG-0020.)

Required functions on the PLC side

  • 4x multiplier function

  • Output voltage (for signal conversion box): DC 12-24 V (120 mA / 12 V)

When extending the distance between DG-0020 and PLC by more than 30 m

Cable material: Change from D5 (composite 5-core vinyl cable) to R6 (twisted pair cable).
(The MX-700/MX-7100 series uses the D5.)
