DG-0010/DG-0020

The output signal conversion box for gauge sensors is a signal converter that converts the two-phase signal (TTL) output from the linear gauge sensor GS/BS series to open collector output (DG-0010) and line driver output (DG-0020).
It can be directly connected to PLC* and other devices via the signal converter. Long-distance transmission is also possible.

    The input frequency range is DC to 300 kHz, supporting the fast response of the sensors.

     Can be connected directly to the sequencer. No gauge counter required.
  • Line driver output (DG-0020)
     Effective for long-distance transmission over 200 m. (Equivalent to RS-422A)

Notes on specifications for connecting DG-0010/DG-0020 to a PLC.

Required specifications on the PLC side (when reading in 1 μm and 10 μm units)
The output signal of the linear gauge sensor is a pulse signal for every 4 μm (1 μm resolution) and 40 μm (10 μm resolution)
To read in 1 μm and 10 μm units, the PLC side requires the following functions
(The power supply to the linear gauge sensor is provided by DG-0010/DG-0020 at 5 V / 100 mA)

Functions required on the PLC side.

  • 4 Increment Function

  • Output voltage (for signal conversion box) DC 12 to 24 V (120 mA / 12 V)

If extending the distance between DG-0020 and the PLC by more than 30 meters.

The cable material: changes from D5 (composite 5-core vinyl cable) to R6 (twisted pair cable)
(MX-700/MX-7100 series uses D5)
When transmitting signals over long distances, they are more susceptible to noise, and to mitigate that effect
