Non-contact digital engine tachometer
Discontinued Products
SE-2500

The SE-2500A is a battery-powered, non-contact, handheld engine tachometer designed specifically for gasoline engines, integrating the detection, measurement, and display units. Simply bring the top of the unit (detection unit) close to the ignition coil to measure the engine speed in units of 1 r/min or 0.01 r/s. The unit has a memory function that allows you to store up to 20 data points, making it convenient for later review.
It comes standard with both analog output (switchable with monitor output) and pulse output. The analog output can be used for recording with data recorders, etc. (the monitor output can be used for checking sensor waveforms or as an input signal for FFT analyzers), and the pulse output can be used as a signal for tracking analysis with FFT analyzers.
* The SE-2500A does not include the IP-2800 external sensor.
*We sincerely apologize, but please bring your own batteries.

Features

  • Because it is a non-contact type, measurements can be taken easily and safely.

  • You can obtain precise rotational speeds in units of 1 r/min or 0.01 r/s.

  • The backlight function allows you to check the displayed value even in dark places.

  • The memory function allows you to save up to 20 data files.

  • Standard equipment includes analog output and pulse output.
Analog output: 0 to 1 V/0 to FS (FS is arbitrarily configurable), 10-bit D/A conversion
Pulse output: Hi +4.5V or higher, Lo +0.5V or lower

  • With the optional detector (VP-201/VP-1210), the engine speed of a 4-cylinder diesel engine can be measured.*

*Measurement may not be possible depending on the engine.
