Notice regarding malfunction of O-Solution OS-0522 FFT analysis function

We have discovered a defect in the "OS-0522 FFT Analysis Function," an optional software for our O-Solution Sound and Vibration Analysis System. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers. We will inform you of the measures we are taking to address this issue, as well as the cause and corrective actions we are taking.

Details of the problem

In O-Solution's measurement mode, if you perform a measurement with the FFT analysis function's exponential averaging (time-axis exponential averaging, power spectrum exponential averaging, Fourier spectrum exponential averaging) turned ON, an incorrect FFT calculation result will be output.

* When analyzing saved data (ORFX files) in analysis mode, the correct FFT calculation results will be output.

The exponential averaging calculation was executed without proper initialization at the start of the calculation.

The issue will be resolved by installing the updated software.
The corrected version will be Ver.3.0.15.
