Human Resources Strategy

Positioning

At Ono Sokki, we are working to align our human resources strategy and business strategy with the same goal of realizing our vision, keeping in mind our materiality statement of "realizing a well-being society" and the mission we are committed to fulfilling. Our human resources department also plays a role in organizational development, and we are advancing human resources policies from both human resources and business perspectives.
By creating an environment that contributes to the growth of individuals and the organization, we will foster employee engagement and promote the development of human resources who embody the founding spirit of a "challenging organization."

policy

In 2025, we will advance our human resources strategy based on the following policies, which are aligned with our medium-term management plan, Challenge Stage IV.

We will align our business strategy with our human resources strategy and invest in human capital to support the execution of each strategy in our medium-term management plan. At the same time, we aim to create a workplace that balances job satisfaction and ease of work by nurturing human resources who are not afraid to take steps toward growth and can create change, thereby realizing an organization that embraces challenges.

Human resources measures

Under our Human Resources Strategy Policy, we will focus on the following key initiatives based on "three perspectives."

  1. Human Resources:
Cultivating individuals who are not afraid to take steps toward growth and who can create change.

  2. structure:
To enhance the alignment between human resource strategy and management strategy, and to build the necessary personnel systems and support structures to achieve each strategy.

  3. culture:
To create an organization where each employee is well-being (a state of physical, mental, and social well-being) and highly engaged.

Human Resource Development Program

At our company, we believe that individual performance is comprised of "conceptual skills x mindset x motivation (human skills) x knowledge and skills (technical skills)." To maximize the performance of each employee, we have established the following talent development program, which includes optional training.

  • Human Resource Development Program

Long-term vision realization project

This project is an initiative to realize Ono Sokki 's long-term vision. It originated from the "Strategic Marketing Project," which started in 2016 in conjunction with the medium-term management plan.

In this project, each team considers and implements what is necessary to realize their desired future state, from different perspectives, including researching and analyzing various elements related to management and activities to deepen relationships among employees. When the company's philosophy was re-articulated in 2024, members of this project played a central role in creating the base draft.

The participating members are mainly employees who volunteered themselves, and include a wide range of participants from young to mid-career. By learning and thinking about the company and society from a high-level perspective together with like-minded colleagues, they contribute to the development of future leaders.

A "values workshop" to deepen relationships

One of the initiatives that originated from this project is the "holding of values workshops." Believing that building trust among employees is crucial for realizing the vision, these workshops are used as a time to share and understand each other's values, with the motto "Let's start with relationships." In 2025, they were also held among executives as an opportunity to share individual values and aspirations for the organization. The aim is to create new value by building relationships where people trust each other and can freely express their thoughts.

Workwear Renewal Project

Workwear Renewal Project

In 2025, our company will be renewing our work uniforms for the first time in about 10 years. The "Work Uniform Renewal Project," comprised of executive officers and younger generations who voluntarily wished to participate, incorporated employee feedback gathered through a company-wide survey and held numerous discussions among its members.
Our new workwear was developed in collaboration with Toyotsu Unifashion Co., Ltd., which aims to achieve textile-to-textile recycling, and also takes the SDGs into consideration. Prioritizing safety during work, the workwear combines functionality such as breathability and stain resistance with a stylish design that incorporates our corporate color, blue (commonly known as "Ono Sokki Blue").

Company event held to commemorate anniversary

To commemorate our 70th anniversary, we introduced Suntory Holdings' "President's Treat Vending Machine" for approximately eight months, from May 2024 to January 2025. The system allows two employees to receive a free drink each by scanning their employee IDs simultaneously. Introduced with the aim of promoting internal communication and creating a "company full of smiles," the machine was used a total of 8,200 times. Furthermore, by providing executives with unlimited-use cards (nicknamed "God Cards"), it was also used to create opportunities for executives and employees to connect.
