What kind of research and development is underway in the automotive sector?
Typical examples include the measurement and analysis of combustion and fuel efficiency, which are gaining attention as environmental measures for automobiles. For example, our technology is needed at the forefront of environmental measures, such as direct injection in gasoline engines and pilot injection in diesel engines. Furthermore, our technology is highly anticipated for measurement and analysis in the development of automobiles such as EVs (electric vehicles) and HVs (hybrid vehicles).

In what departments can liberal arts graduates best utilize their skills?
You might think Ono Sokki 's products are complicated, but in reality, most of our sales staff come from liberal arts backgrounds. (While product knowledge is necessary for sales, it's something you acquire on the job.) We also have overseas business operations. Some people who are involved in sales go on to excel in product planning. In addition, many of the people working in departments such as information systems, general affairs and human resources, and legal affairs also come from liberal arts backgrounds.

Overseas sales representatives may be responsible for local subsidiaries and overseas distributors, or they may be directly responsible for customers. To what extent are the employee's preferences regarding their assignment location and job type considered?
Your assignment will be determined based on a combination of your preferences and the company's training policies. Furthermore, to help develop your fundamental technical skills, we may intentionally implement "cross-assignment" strategies, such as assigning a mechanical engineering graduate to electrical circuit design. Therefore, please understand that your assignment preferences may not be 100% fulfilled.

Is it impossible to get a research and development position with a university degree? What about if your major is not in electrical engineering, electronics, or mechanical engineering?
There are no specific qualifications required to work in research and development. The type of work you do depends on your abilities, motivation, and aptitude. At our company, there are very few jobs that are solely focused on research, unlike in the research laboratories of large companies. Even when we proceed with technology development first, the developers are responsible for bringing it to market. Furthermore, we use a small project team system for product development and design, so each design engineer is responsible for both technology development and design. Therefore, most people in technical positions are involved in development-related work. It's just a matter of the amount of work they do.

I have a liberal arts background; is it okay for me to apply for a SE (Systems Engineer) or development position?
You are welcome to apply. However, please be aware that we will evaluate your application in the same way we evaluate science and engineering graduates who have studied technology at university, so it will require considerable effort and motivation.

Is relocation required?
There is a possibility of being transferred. However, there is no system in place that mandates transfers at regular intervals.
Once a year, employees have the opportunity to report their future career aspirations to HR, including their preferences regarding work location. Personnel changes are made based on these reports and in line with the company's strategy. -
Please tell me about your educational philosophy.
We aim to cultivate "autonomous professionals." This requires "a willingness to learn independently" and "broad knowledge plus high-level expertise." Based on this human resource vision, our company plans to systematically combine hierarchical training, field-specific training, and on-the-job training (OJT) to support individual skill development.

Please tell me about the training and education provided after joining the company.
After joining the company, all employees participate in group training sessions covering business etiquette, company structure, departmental introductions, and basic product and service knowledge. Following this, they gain experience working in various departments and offices, learning the company's workflow and essential knowledge and skills through hands-on experience.
During the training period, we will take into account the employee's preferred placement, and after an interview with HR, the placement will be determined taking into account the company's intentions.
