Panel Conditioning Function

■ Panel Conditioning Function

Overview of Panel Conditioning Function

The LA-1240/1250/1350/4350 models have a panel condition resume function that allows them to start up with the same conditions (measurement conditions) as when they were last shut down, when the power is turned on. (In addition to the panel conditions, the previously measured calculated value data is also saved.)
Furthermore, at startup, you can arbitrarily select the panel condition to start from among nine types of panel conditions (COND1 to COND9) stored via the RS-232C interface from a personal computer.

The initial settings for the panel condition memory are shown in the table below.

*1: The dynamic characteristics of the LA-4350 are FAST/SLOW/IMP
*2: The LA-1240 does not have a timer measurement function.

【Note】

The panel condition memory does not store measurement items, and instantaneous values are always displayed upon startup. To measure calculated values using the measurement conditions in the panel condition memory, press the panel switch [START] to begin measurement, then press the panel switches [Lp, Leq, ... (Lx)] to switch to the item you want to display.

Panel condition memory loading procedure

The process of selecting a panel condition to start from among nine user-defined panel conditions (COND1 to COND9) at startup is called loading the panel condition memory.

  • Turn on the power while pressing the panel switch [CAL (COND LOAD)]. The panel condition memory number COND* will blink on the LCD screen.
  • Press the panel switch [LEVEL (▲・▼)] to display the panel condition memory number (1-9) to load.
  • Press the panel switch [START (ENTER)]. The sound level meter will start using the panel condition memory number selected.

Panel condition reset

By pressing the [PAUSE (INITIAL)] panel switch while turning on the power, you can disable the panel condition function and start (initialize) the device to its factory settings. Note that even when starting in factory settings, the contents of the panel condition memory will not be reset.
