OS-2000 series Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-1065

About the PSD calculation formula.

What is PSD
What is FFT Analyzer PSD, ESD, and how is it different from power spectrum?

In the OS-2000 series, the Power Spectral Density (PSD) displayed in the fundamental frequency analysis is calculated in (m/s 2)/√ Hz.

To perform the squared calculation 【 (m/s 2) 2 / Hz】, please use the following method.
Execute the "CSV Output" that appears when you right-click on the analysis screen.

Open a CSV file in Excel and square the values by frequency.

To display PSD

  1. .Running the analysis alone does not perform Fuel Density Meter calculations, so switch to "PSD."
After calculating the basic frequency analysis, click the "Analysis Settings Dialog."

  2. Once the settings screen opens, switch to [Analysis Conditions] and set the Fuel Density Meter calculation to 'PSD'.

  3. The unit of the vertical axis will switch to 'PSD'.
