Frequently Asked Questions about Magneto-Electric Rotation Detector

Question number FAQ-0850

To split the signal of the MP-981

To split the MP981 signal

(1) To branch the output

This is possible when the distance to the branching point is short (within 5m). However, please use a device with an input impedance of 20kΩ or higher.
When outputting to the TM2100 series, branch the SIG, COM, and shield wires from the terminal block of the first unit and connect them to the second unit (see Figure 1). Connecting the two units with long signal lines can easily introduce noise, so please use the dedicated amplifier (PA-150) (see Figure 2).

<Caution>

If you use a bakelite plate or similar material for the MP-981 mounting jig, connect the ground terminal of the TM-2100 series (first unit) to earth ground. If you use a conductive material such as metal and can connect to earth ground, do not connect the ground terminal of the TM-2100 series (first unit) to earth ground. Connect the ground terminal of the PA-150 and the ground terminal of the TM-2100 series (second unit) to earth ground.

(2) Regarding the dedicated amplifier PA-150 (isolated signal transmitter)

次のようなときにご利用ください。

  • If increasing the cable length may introduce noise.
  • If you want to split the signal.
  • If you want to add a relay to the cable.

For detailed specifications of the PA-150, please refer to the catalog and instruction manual.
