I want to analyze the frequency and sound pressure levels using the signal from the sound level meter.

When performing frequency analysis, use the AC output of the sound level meter.
If you select an A-weighting filter for the AC output, the output will have an A-weighting filter applied.
This is used for frequency analysis with an A-weighted filter applied.
Please note that turning on the A characteristic on the CF side will result in the effect being applied twice.

When calibration with a sound level meter, the spectral display value can be read as a sound pressure level.

1/1 and 1/3 octave notations are also frequently used in sound analysis.

The change in overall sound pressure level is measured by the time waveform of the DC output of the sound level meter. The DC output is a voltage proportional to the display of the sound level meter.
