DG-4280 Measurement Procedure and Error Message Resolution

(1) Measurement

<1> Connect to peripheral devices.

BCD output connection.bmp (113920 bytes)

<2> Turn on the power. The device will immediately enter an operating state.

<3> Move the spindle of the gauge sensor and confirm that the value on the front panel display changes.

<4> Move the spindle position of the gauge sensor to the position you want to set as the zero point, and stabilize the spindle.

<5> Reset the measurement to zero at the zero point position using one of the following methods:

  • Press the RESET switch on the front panel.
  • Short-circuit the RESET input terminal (No. 21) and the COM terminal (No. 22) on the rear panel.
  • A low-level voltage signal is input via the reset input (pin 32) of the BCD OUT connector on the rear panel.

<6> Set the judgment value on the front panel to the preset switch.

<7> Measurement begins. The amount of movement of the gauge sensor spindle is displayed on the display unit, and the determination is made simultaneously.

(2) Hold the measured value

The display and BCD output can be held. There are two ways to do this:

  • Short-circuit the rear panel HOLD input terminal (No. 22) and the COM terminal (No. 23).
  • A low-level voltage signal is input via the hold input (pin 31) of the rear panel BCD OUT connector.

(3) Stopping the judgment output

By inputting a preset gate signal in the following way, a judgment is forced and the judgment output is turned OFF.

  • Short-circuit the input terminals (No. 5 to No. 8) for preset gates 1-4 on the rear panel terminal block and the COM terminal (No. 9).

(4) Clear the error message

If the counting circuit of this device miscounts, the display will blink and the error output (pin 30) of the BCD OUT connector will turn ON. The error state can be cleared using the following method.
