2 Measurement Condition Settings You can set the measurement conditions for the sound level meter from your computer. These measurement conditions can be saved to the specified panel conditions on the sound level meter.

LA-1440/4440 Series Sound Level Meter

  • The LA-1440/4440 sound level meter is used by connecting it to a PC via an RS-232C cable or USB cable.

  • This sample program and utility is compatible with Windows® XP SP2 and later, Windows® 7 (32-bit and 64-bit versions).

  • In addition to this program, the following files are required to use this program.
    Follow the instructions to obtain the files and install them correctly.

    • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0c

    • Microsoft .NET Framework XX Japanese Language Pack
      (Please replace XX with the version of Microsoft .NET Framework you have installed.)

Additionally, a USB driver is required for USB connection. Please download the "USB driver configuration file" in addition to the sample program. For further details, please refer to the PDF file below.

1 Measurement Condition Settings It is possible to communicate with the sound level meter to display the sound level meter's panel conditions on the PC, or to set the sound level meter's panel conditions on the sound level meter itself from the PC.

For LA-3560/3570/3260 series sound level meters

  • The LA-3560/3570/3260 sound level meters do not require programming to read memory data. By connecting to a computer via a USB cable, you can directly access the sound level meter's SD card. Files recorded on the sound level meter's SD card are in CSV format (files recorded using the LA-0354 sound recording function are in WAVE format).

  • Of the programs listed below, (1) LpData and (2) Remote Display are programs for reading data by communicating with a PC via RS232C. An AX-5022 RS-232C cable (2m) is used to connect the sound level meter to the PC's RS-232C connector.

  • This sample program and utility are compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7, except for the Excel macros. The Excel macros are compatible with Excel 97 and later.

For LA-5560/5570/2560 series sound level meters

  • The LA-5560/5570/2560 sound level meters do not require programming to read data from their internal memory. Files can be opened directly via USB cable connection (excluding the LA-0554 sound recording function and the LA-0555 advanced comparator function).

  • Of the programs listed below, the top three (1, 2, and 3) are programs for reading data by communicating with a PC via RS232C. Data recorded on the sound level meter's SD card can be directly read from the SD card to the PC in CSV file format. Similarly, by connecting the sound level meter to the PC with a USB cable, data recorded on the SD card can also be directly read in CSV file format.

  • This sample program and utility are compatible with Windows 2000/XP operating systems, with the exception of Excel macros. It has also been tested and confirmed to work on Windows 7.
    Excel macros are compatible with Excel 97 and later versions.
