Vibration Comparator Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-1399

Overview and Features of the VC-2100

■ Overview
The VC-2100 is a vibration comparator that detects machine abnormalities using vibration signals. By inputting the output signal from Accelerometer, it functions as a high-performance signal processor that allows for level determination based on vibration values, vibration level confirmation, etc., and also provides AC voltage output for FFT analysis and DC voltage output for recording.
By selecting and using various functions, including the simultaneous digital processing function for two vibration frequency bands, high-precision processing unaffected by external environmental conditions becomes possible.
Furthermore, by combining it with the dedicated NP-3331 Accelerometer or our sensor group (NP-3000 series), even more accurate measurements become possible.

■ Features

● Simultaneous detection of two bands
By setting two types of bands (frequency bands), it is possible to determine the value based on either the RMS value or the peak value for each band.

● Digital display function
The vibration value is displayed digitally, and the vibration state is simultaneously displayed as a bar graph.

● Analog output
AC and DC signals are output simultaneously (can be used for connecting to analysis devices such as FFT analyzers and recorders).

● Gate input possible
It is used when connecting to external control devices such as sequencers to perform automatic judgments, such as product pass/fail judgment, on the production line.

● Headphone connection possible
By connecting commercially available headphones, you can check the vibration sound. Furthermore, since the output is set for each band, you can also check each phenomenon individually.

● Comparator operation delay time setting
A comparator output is triggered if vibrations exceeding the detection level persist for a set period of time or longer (for example, human error, such as when an operator accidentally hits the sensor with a tool, can be canceled).

●Compact size of DIN 96 mm × 96 mm, designed for integration into control panels.
