Vibration Comparator Frequently Asked Questions
Question number FAQ-1388
When the measurement mode is set to Peak mode, is the displayed value a single amplitude or a double amplitude?
Acceleration and velocity are expressed as single amplitude (0 - Peak).
Displacement is measured in terms of both amplitudes (peak to peak).
The vibration meter measures the effective value (rms).
Multiply by √2 to get 0 - Peak value (equivalent peak value)
Multiply by 2√2 to get the Peak to Peak (equivalent pp value).
Some are displayed as such.
