Measurement through a transparent object is possible, provided that the glass or acrylic plate is not vibrating. If the glass or acrylic plate vibrates together, it will introduce errors into the measurement.

*For the LV-1100/1600 series, the amount of reflected light can be checked using the indicator on the unit.
