We are observing the torque ripple of a motor. Comparing the analog outputs of the TS-3200 and TS-800B under the same motor, torque sensor (SS type), and measurement conditions, the TS-3200's analog output waveform was a smooth sine wave with less torque ripple compared to the TS-800B. Why is this? Is it possible to produce similar waveforms?
The TS-800B has a time constant of 10 ms + approximately 7 ms (fixed specification), but the TS-3200 was used according to the usage conditions, which state that "when using MD series or SS series torque detectors, the time constant should be set to 63 ms or higher," so it is presumed that the output was a smooth sine wave.
Therefore, in order to approximate the output waveforms of both models, the current time constant of the TS-3200 should be adjusted to match the 10 ms of the TS-800B. However, the time constant setting for the TS-3200A is as follows, and it is not possible to set it to 10 ms.

In the standard specification, the lower limit is 16 ms, but if you set the time constant to be shorter than the one you are currently using, torque ripple components will be more likely to appear in the output, resulting in a waveform that approximates the output waveform of the TS-800B.
