How to set up the TS-2700 N-0

Due to the frequency characteristics of the detector, torque measurements may appear even when the shaft is rotating under no load. Since this value is reproducible, high-precision measurements can be achieved by setting correction values for each rotational speed.

<Please note>

Separate correction values must be obtained and entered for both CW and CCW. Correction can be applied to the direction selected using the CW/CCW switch on the front panel. Please confirm the rotation direction setting first.

Method for obtaining N-0 correction values

  • The detection axis is left unloaded (nothing is attached to one side of the axis) and rotated using a motor or similar device.
  • The rotational speed is varied within the range of rotational speeds used, and the torque value displayed at each rotational speed is recorded.
    Please use a table like the one below, which shows the rotational speeds within the measurement range.

    Torque count
    [Note 1]In the count column, enter the number without displaying decimal points.
    Examples: 1.234 → 1234, -0.20 → -20
    [Note 2]The count refers to the torque value displayed, ignoring the decimal point.

    This device can accept up to 5 input points. It performs linear approximation between input points and also corrects for points other than the input points. It is also possible to record with finer rotation intervals near areas where the numerical changes are large, and with coarser intervals near areas where the changes are small.

    Example: Rotation speed → 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000

    How to input N-0 correction values

    <Please note>

  • Please set the correction values in ascending order, starting from the lowest rotation speed.
  • Please enter the torque value as a count value, ignoring the decimal point.
  • Torque values cannot exceed the torque capacity.
  • Regardless of the rotational speed capacity setting, rotational speed input is possible up to 99,999 r/min.

    • From the initial display of the torque N-0 correction, pressing the right arrow key allows you to input the correction value.
    • Input is also possible using the right arrow key from the ON and CLR displays.
    • If there is a previous input value, it can be overwritten.
    • The top row shows the torque value, and the bottom row shows the rotational speed.

    The first torque correction value can be entered. The first decimal point lights up to indicate that it is the first point.

    • The LEDs in the input fields are blinking.
    • Use the right arrow key to move the input position (digit).
    • Use the up arrow key to change the setting: − can be displayed using the MENU key.
    • Press the ENTER key to confirm and move to the next item.

    The rotation speed for the first point can be entered.

    A second torque correction value can be entered.
    The second decimal point lights up to indicate that it is the second point.

    • The operation method is the same as for inputting the torque correction value for the first point. Further explanation of the operation is omitted below.
    • A second rotation speed input is possible.

      • The operation method is the same as for inputting the torque correction value for the first point. Further explanation of the operation is omitted below.

    A third torque correction value can be entered.
    The third decimal point lights up to indicate that it is the third point.

    • The operation method is the same as for inputting the torque correction value for the first point. Further explanation of the operation is omitted below.


    The rotation speed can be entered for the third point.

    • The operation method is the same as for inputting the torque correction value for the first point. Further explanation of the operation is omitted below.

    A fourth torque correction value can be entered.
    The fourth decimal point lights up, indicating that it is the fourth point.

    A fourth rotation speed input point is available.

    • A fifth torque correction value can be entered.
      The fifth decimal point lights up, indicating that it is the fifth point.

    The 5th rotation speed input point is available.

    Pressing the ENTER key after the 5th rotation speed input display returns to the initial N-0 correction display.

    Enable N-0 correction.

    • Pressing the up arrow key cycles through OFF → ON → CLR.
    • Turn it ON, confirm with the ENTER key, and proceed to the next item.
