Question number FAQ-1333

External switching method for CW/CCW rotation direction on the TS-2700

This is possible by inputting an external control signal using the REMOTE connector on the rear panel. However, the cable connected to the REMOTE connector must be no more than 5 meters in length and shielded as necessary.

■How to operate

(1) Between pin numbers "C" and "D" of the REMOTE connector on the rear panel (cable-side connector is included as standard).
Wire it with a voltage-free contact output.

Compatible connector (signal code side): R03-PB8M (manufactured by Tajimi Musen Denki) <Standard included>

REMOTE connector pinout
Pin Signal name Remarks
A CLR IN Voltage-free contact input

(Common means common)

B TRG IN
C CW/CCW switching
D COM
E READY OUT Voltage-free contact output

(Common is an exception)

F Same as above COM1
G TRG OUT
H Same as above COM2

(2) Turn ON the "External Input for Rotation Direction" setting in the MENU. This will allow the input from the REMOTE connector to be transmitted.
The CW/CCW switching will be enabled.

-1 Press and hold the MENU key for 2 seconds or more to enter settings mode.

-2 Press the ENTER key to switch to "5. External input for rotation direction" mode and turn the setting ON.
Each time you press the ENTER key, the setting is confirmed and you move to the next mode.

Note

When the rotation direction of the axis being measured is changed, the torque zero correction value and N-0 correction value will also change. To use the device with a switchable rotation direction, you need to set the torque zero correction value and N-0 correction value for each CW/CCW direction. Once set, the torque zero correction value and N-0 correction value are stored in backup memory. When taking measurements, switch the rotation direction of the motor attached to the detector and switch the CW/CCW of this device.
