Settings Procedure

• Prepare an RS-232C cable to connect the TS-2600 to the computer. Make sure the LOCK switch on the front panel of the TS-2600 is set to OFF, and if the optional TS-0220 is installed, disable its internal settings.
  
• Turn on only the computer and boot Windows 98.
• Start → Programs → Accessories → Communications → Select HyperTerminal with the mouse
  
• The window for 'Hyper Terminal' will open.
• Double-click the icon of Hypertrm.exe.
  
• "The message 'The modem is not installed. Would you like to install it?' may appear. Select 'No.'"
• The 'Connection Settings' window opens. It displays 'Please enter a name for the new connection and select an icon,' so enter 'TS2600,' choose an appropriate icon, and click OK.
• The content of the "Connection Settings" window will change to input phone number information.
  Connection method: Select "Direct to COM 1" and click OK. (If the RS-232C cable is connected to COM 1)
• "The properties of COM 1 will open, so we will configure the port settings."

• Click OK → The 'TS2600 Hyper Terminal' window will open.
• Click on File → Properties from the menu.
• The 'TS2600 properties' window will open.
• Click on the 'Settings' tab and make the selections and configurations below.

After performing the above operations, turn on the power of the TS-2600, and you can communicate by entering commands on the computer.

• Click in the order of File → Exit HyperTerminal.
• "You are currently connected. Would you like to disconnect?" → "Yes"
• "Do you want to save session TS2600?" → "Yes"

From the next time, you will be able to use RS-232C by performing steps 1 to 3 and then clicking on the TS2600 icon that appears after step 4. Additionally, if you place the icon on the desktop, you can launch it by double-clicking the icon.
