Settings Procedure

• Prepare the RS-232C cable to connect the TS-2600 to the computer.
  Set the LOCK switch on the front panel of the TS-2600 to OFF, and if the optional TS-0220 is installed, disable the internal settings.
• Only turn on the power to the computer and start Windows 2000.
• Start → Programs → Accessories → Communications → Select HyperTerminal with the mouse
• The window of Hyper Terminal will open.
• Double-click the icon of Hypertrm.exe.
• "The message 'The modem is not installed. Would you like to install it?' may appear. Select 'No.'"
• The "Connection Settings" window opens, displaying "Please enter a name for the new connection and select an icon." Enter "TS2600," choose an appropriate icon, and click OK.
• The content of the 'Connection Settings' window will change to allow for the input of phone number information. Connection method: select 'COM 1' and click OK. (This applies if an RS-232C cable is connected to COM 1.)
• Open the properties of 'COM 1' to configure the port settings.

• Click OK → The 'TS2600 Hyper Terminal' window will open.
• Click on File → Properties from the menu.
• The 'TS2600 Properties' window will open.
• Click on the 'Settings' tab and make the selections and configurations below.

  Check the terminal key, how to send the BackSpace key	Any setting is acceptable.

  Encoding Method	Shift JIS → OK
  ASCII settings	Add a line break character at the end of the line, Add a line break character to the received data, Check the box to wrap at the right edge → OK → OK

After performing the above operations, turn on the power of the TS-2600, and you can communicate by entering commands on the computer.

• Click in the order of File → Exit HyperTerminal.
• "You are currently connected. Would you like to disconnect?" → "Yes"
• "Do you want to save session TS2600?" → "Yes"

From the next time, you will be able to use RS-232C by performing steps 1 to 3 and clicking the TS-2600 icon that appears after operation 4.
Additionally, if you place it as an icon on the desktop, it can be launched by double-clicking the icon.
