Torque Meter Frequently Asked Questions
Question number FAQ-1293
To calculate torque from motor rating:
It is best to check the motor's rotation-torque (NT) characteristics.
N: Rotational speed r/min (revolutions per minute) T: Torque N・mH: Rated output kW
So
H=T×(2 πN/60)÷1000
T=(60000/2π)H÷N
(Example) For a 1800 r/min, 1 kW motor
T=60000÷(2π)×1÷1800=5.3 N・m
Please select the torque sensor based on its maximum torque value.
