TS cable bending radius
When connecting signal cables to measuring instruments, there may be walls or other obstacles that limit the wiring space. This often necessitates bending the cables into small increments, leading to the question: "How small can the cables be bent?"
Although cables are flexible and can be bent into small shapes if you try to force them, when wiring with bent cables, care must be taken to avoid damaging the cable's insulation and compromising its performance.
Generally, the bending diameter of braided shielded cables is said to be more than six times the cable's outer diameter (D).
Since the signal cable has a connector, and the cable is secured by the connector, a guideline of at least four times the original length is considered appropriate in this case. (In that case, the distance from the connector end would be 5D.)
