Torque Meter Frequently Asked Questions
Question number FAQ-1272
Can I switch between signals from two torque sensors using a single display unit?
Switching signals using contacts can cause variations in the N-0 characteristics of the torque detector due to differences in contact resistance, making it impossible to guarantee the specified accuracy. Therefore, switching of torque detector signals is prohibited.
Switching signals requires a dedicated switch with an amplifier. However, since using two display units is cheaper, we only accept orders for custom-made switches.
As an alternative, the TS-3200 display unit has a function to store settings for multiple detector eigenvalues, allowing measurements to be performed immediately simply by changing the signal lines.
For TS series displays other than the TS-3200, it is necessary to adjust the detector's specific values (FACTOR, CAPACITY, ZERO) each time to match the detector.
