Torque Meter Frequently Asked Questions

The torque sensor shaft is yellow because it has been coated with a rust inhibitor (yellow). SS series, DD series, and DSTP series are shipped with this rust inhibitor (yellow) applied. The rust inhibitor (yellow) can be removed with paint thinner. When attaching a coupling, please remove the rust inhibitor (yellow) before installation.

Furthermore, small-capacity detectors (SS series, MD series, MT series) are shipped with rust-preventive oil (colorless spray) applied and covered with a vinyl tube. Please wipe lightly with a cloth and attach the coupling. Note that the mounting base of the MT series is treated with one of the rust-preventive coatings.
