Torque Meter Frequently Asked Questions

The torque sensor shaft is yellow because it has been coated with rust preventative. The SS series, DD series, and DSTP series are shipped with rust preventative applied. The MD series is not coated with rust preventative when shipped alone, but when assembled with the MT series, it may or may not be coated with rust preventative depending on the circumstances, such as when a coupling is attached.

Basically, please check the shaft of the torque sensor. If it is yellow, please understand that rust inhibitor has been applied. Rust inhibitor can be removed with paint thinner. When attaching the coupling, please remove the rust inhibitor before installation.
