Torque Meter Frequently Asked Questions
Question number FAQ-1264
Torque detector calibration period
calibration duration of torque detectors
The material of the torsion bar undergoes slight aging changes (G-transverse modulus), causing errors in the static torque characteristics. This is maintained by retesting the calibration and adjusting the Factor.
However, if you have any doubts about the measurement accuracy on site, please request repair via the torque detector pickup calibration at our authorized dealer or your nearest sales office.
When conducting measurement and managing trends on-site, if the values differ significantly from the previous measurement, it may indicate that the error in the static torque characteristics has increased.
Please contact your nearest sales office immediately to request a pickup calibration.
Do not change the unique value (such as Factor) of the torque detector from the calibration results, as it will affect measurement accuracy.
Also, for regular calibration periods, aim for about once a year.
