Differences between the TH Series Magnetic Phase Difference Method and the "New" Magnetic Phase Difference Method: Part 2 - "Maximum Response Frequency" and "Update Time"

Magnetic phase difference system "New" Magnetic Phase Difference System
Applicable models SS / MD / DD / EZ / DSTP series TH Series

Maximum response frequency
(*1)

Analog output
Speed at which fluctuations are read

10 Hz

Standard: 100Hz
High-speed option: 5 kHz

SS/MD/DD/EZ/DSTP In the series
Set using the time constant.
Standard: 63 ms (TS-2700)
16 ms (TS-3200)
Option: 1 ms
TH In the series
It can be set using both the time constant and the cutoff frequency.
・Time constant Standard: 1.6 ms
Option: 0.16 ms
• Cutoff frequency: Standard: 100 Hz
Option: 5 kHz

Update time

time to measure
interval

Updated every 4 ms
(Optional 1 ms response time available)
Update every 50 μs

* 1. The responsiveness can be changed by setting the time constant of the torque calculator. Furthermore, the mechanical responsiveness is limited by the moment of inertia and spring constant of the torque meter and the test specimen connected to it.

● The mounting hole dimensions, center height, and shaft dimensions are the same for both the SS series and the TH series.
