Optional Feature Addition Installation Procedure
[Notes on installing optional features]
- Please complete the firmware update before installing any additional options.
The SD memory card contains the latest update files. - Follow the instructions to install the additional options.
Installing the system incorrectly can cause the sound level meter to malfunction or fail. - When performing the installation, be sure to supply power from the AC adapter.
- Do not remove the SD card or turn off the power during installation.
This can cause the sound level meter to malfunction or fail.
Update the firmware to the latest version.
1. Prepare an SD card containing the optional license information (license file).
The root directory of the SD card contains the latest firmware update file (LA7000Firmware.dat) and the license file (LA7000OptionInf.dat).
2. Activate the sound level meter.
After switching the sound level meter to power supply from the AC adapter, turn the power ON. Insert the SD card containing the update file into the sound level meter.
3. Switch to the update screen.
From the menu mode screen
Tap Genera l > About/Update to switch to the About/Update screen.
Tap the OK button on the Start Update screen that appears after tapping the UPDATE button.
Verify that a new update screen appears.
4. Start the update.
First, tap the FIRMWARE UPDATE button on the update screen.
Next, after confirming that the target version is displayed under New Firmware Ver, tap Enable to switch it ON.
Finally, tapping the START UPDATE button will switch to the update progress screen and begin the update.
* During the update, please do not remove or insert the SD card, or disconnect or switch off the power to the sound level meter.
5. Confirm that the update is complete.
Wait until each of the File Check/Erase/Write/Verify items reaches 100%. After confirming that SUCCESS is displayed, tap the BACK button to return to the update screen.
After confirming that the Firmware Version is updated to the latest version, tap the REBOOT button. The sound level meter will automatically restart and return to the measurement screen, and the update will be complete.
Add optional features
1. Switch to the options screen.
From the menu mode screen, tap General > Options to switch to the Options screen.
2. Start the installation.
First, tap the INSTALL button on the options screen. Next, tap ON in the installation confirmation message in the options information to start the installation. After confirming the installation complete message, tap ON again. Once the installation is successfully completed, the valid options will be displayed in black text.
3. Check the added options.
Return to the measurement screen, activate the newly installed option, and verify that it works.
