Each recording file has a maximum length of 3 minutes. While it is possible to set it to longer than 3 minutes, even in that case, the recording will automatically create a new file and terminate after 3 minutes have elapsed. When creating audio data files, it is common practice to include a buffer to prevent data loss during the A/D conversion, transfer, and saving processes. In the case of this sound level meter, there is a buffer area, but the absolute amount is small, so there is a possibility of data loss when recording for more than 3 minutes.
