The recording file can be a maximum of 3 minutes, and while settings for longer durations are possible, it will automatically create a recording file and stop after 3 minutes. It is common to have a buffer to prevent data loss during the A/D conversion, transfer, and storage of sound data. In the case of this sound level meter, there is a buffer area, but its absolute amount is small, and there is a possibility of data loss if recording exceeds 3 minutes.
