Sound level meter - Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-1184

Transferring data recorded in AUTO 3 mode to a PC takes a very long time.

If the firmware for your LA-1440/4440 sound level meter is version 1.20 or earlier, transferring large amounts of data will take a long time. We will perform a free firmware update; please contact your point of purchase or your nearest LA-1440 sales office. Please note that we will temporarily need to keep your sound level meter during this process. Also, if you are using our free software "Memory Read," please download and use the latest version. Note that if your "Memory Read" software version is earlier than 1.1, it will not work with LA-1440/4440 sound level meters with firmware version 2.10 or later.

■ How to check the firmware version

In the Sound Level Meter menu, move the cursor to "OPT/VER" in the "CONDITION menu" and press the [ENTER]/(START) switch to the OPTION/VERSION screen, which displays the Sound Level Meter firmware version and the model names of the installed options, allowing you to check the firmware version.
