The sound level meter (LA-1240/1250/1350/4350) comes with a windscreen as an accessory to reduce measurement errors caused by strong winds. Please use it for measurements in conditions where strong winds directly hit the microphone, such as in ventilation fan measurements or outdoor measurements.

 

Installation Procedure for Wind Screens

Insert the windscreen slowly and quietly until the tip of the microphone touches the hole of the windscreen with the sound level meter turned OFF. If you need to measure continuously for long periods outdoors, please purchase the separately sold all-weather windscreen (refer to the section for LA2000/5000).

 

Notice

When attaching or detaching the windscreen, please be careful not to shock the microphone.
