■ Key protect switch function settings

The LA-1240/1250/1350/4350 models have a key protect switch on the bottom of the sound level meter to prevent incorrect setting of measurement conditions during measurement. When the key protect mode is switched on, all panel switches except for the switches shown in the diagram ([Lp/Leq...(Lx)], [START], [PAUSE], [CAL], [PRINT], [STORE]) become inoperable.

■ Procedure for switching key protection modes

Switching the key protect switch to the right (where the key mark is printed) activates key protect mode, and switching it to the left deactivates key protect mode. When key protect is enabled, the key protect mark will light up on the LCD display.
