DR-7100 Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-1130

When I press the REC button to record data, it displays "0 FILES AVAILABLE" and I cannot operate it. Please tell me how to fix this.

When you start recording with the DR-7100, a folder named "DR7100" will be automatically created on the SD card.

A folder named "DATA" will be created below that, and data files will be saved within this folder.

The maximum number of files in the "DATA" folder is 2,800. Even if there is sufficient space on the SD card, you cannot create more files than this. When the number of files reaches the limit, pressing the "REC" button will display "0 FILES AVAILABLE" on the DR-7100 screen, and recording will become impossible.

Solution

- Open the SD card on your PC and rename the folder from "DR7100".

- Open the SD card on your PC and rename the folder named "DATA" inside "DR7100".

- Transfer or delete data from the SD card's "DATA" folder to your PC to reduce the number of data files to less than 2,800.
