DR-7100 Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-1126

How to connect a TEDS-compatible accelerometer

Connect a sensor with TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) functionality (an accelerometer with a built-in preamplifier) to the DR-7100.

TEDS Sensor Connection Diagram

Pressing the TEDS calibration key followed by the ENTER key will sequentially read and set the sensitivity values and units for channels 1 through 4. (The INPUT setting for channels connected to TEDS-compatible accelerometers will automatically switch to CCLD.) If a non-TEDS-compatible accelerometer or microphone is connected, an ERROR will be displayed and calibration will not be performed (the state before starting TEDS calibration will be retained).

After calibration is complete, press the REC key, then the PLAY or PAUSE key to start recording. If the input signal is very weak (the bar graph barely moves) or if the over-indicator (red LED) blinks or lights up, adjust the voltage range appropriately before starting recording.
