DR-7100 Frequently Asked Questions

Question number FAQ-1121

(If the clock display is not working) Regarding the initialization of the internal clock

The DR-7100 has a clock that is backed up by an internal battery.
The built-in battery is charged when an AC adapter or AA batteries are installed, but if the device is not used for a long period of time, the built-in battery may discharge, causing the clock display to stop working.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but please reset the device using the following procedure.
Please fully charge the internal battery before performing a factory reset.

<Notes on initialization>
Initializing the clock will also reset the measurement conditions.
Please back up your measurement conditions before initializing the device.

1. Measurement conditions can be backed up to an SD card. Press the "MENU" key to go to the menu screen. Select "COND_R/W" → "WRITE" and enter the file number to write. After saving, check on your PC to see if the condition setting file exists. The file is located in "ONO_DR7100/COND" on the saved SD card.

2. Make sure the DR-7100 is turned OFF.

3. Start the DR-7100 in initialization mode. Press and hold the PLAY key (bottom center) on the DR-7100, then press the POWER key to start it up. Continue holding the PLAY key until the normal measurement screen is displayed.

5. Turn the power off and on again and set the time.

6. To revert the measurement conditions to their state before initialization, read the condition settings file from the SD card.
Press the "ENU" key to go to the menu screen. Select "COND_R/W" → "READ" and then select the file number you wrote in step 1.

This completes the clock initialization process.
