XN-8000 Frequently Asked Questions

Using the XN-8000 Reporizer's calibration function to use the "0dB reference value" (set to a value other than 1), the DAT files and TRC files measured using the DS-0221 general-purpose FFT analysis software and DS-0222 tracking analysis software cannot display the correct physical values. The cause is that the DAT and TRC files do not contain the "0dB reference value" information in the DS-0221/0222 files.

■ Countermeasures

When measuring tracking data (DAT files, TRC files) loaded with the DS-0221/0222 using the repoliter, please perform calibration without using the "0dB reference value" (set the "0dB reference value" to 1).

* However, if you calibration in dB scale without using the '0dB reference value,' the linear scale display
Physical values become meaningless (same as DS-0221/0222).

*There are no issues when opening TRC files with a repository.

*The same applies if you use free software to convert tracking data into a text file.
