TM-3100 Series Tachometer: "Check the built-in functions (cards)"

You can check the built-in functions (cards) under the main menu item "OTHER".

The menu items in settings mode are "INPUT → MEASURE → FUNCTION → DISPLAY → OUTPUT → OTHER". The settings for each menu item are shown in the flowchart, with selections indicated by a red square and the setting value indicated by a subscript. For items without a red square, press the [SET/NEXT] button to skip them. Follow the arrows in the flowchart to operate the buttons. Explanations of button operations are omitted here; please refer to the <Basic Button Operations> section below.

■Basic button operation

Press the "MENU" button to enter settings mode. The settings mode menu has major categories: "INPUT → MEASURE → FUNCTION → DISPLAY → OUTPUT → OTHER," and each major category has sub-categories.
A short press of the "MENU" button will return you to the previous item.
Press and hold the "MENU" button to switch to measurement mode (display of measured values) from any position.

■Operating Procedure

Press the "MENU" button to enter setting mode. On the main menu that opens in setting mode, press the "RESET (<)" or "COND (>)" button to select [OTHER] (move the cursor). After selecting [OTHER], press the [SET/NEXT] button to switch to the panel condition setting screen (PANEL CONDITION). Select [SKIP] with the "RESET (<)" or "COND (>)" button. Pressing the [SET/NEXT] button will open the "Version" screen as shown in the figure below, displaying a list of installed BOARD (circuit boards/cards) (if RS232C is installed, "<RS232C>9600" will be displayed).

After completing the settings, press the [SET/NEXT] button.

* An INPUT card is required and will not be displayed on the Version screen.

Press and hold the "MENU" button. You will return to the measurement screen.

■Supplement

The positions of the installable cards are determined as shown in the diagram below. We offer a basic set of TM-3110 (display only), TM-3120 (with open collector BCD output), TM-3130 (with analog output), and TM-3140 (with comparator output), but in some cases, such as the TM-3130, a comparator output may be built in.

The columns marked with a circle or a name indicate the functions (cards) incorporated into the TM-3110, TM-3120, TM-3130, and TM-3140. The INPUT card is required to be installed.
