Tachometer Frequently Asked Questions
Question number FAQ-0917
How can I set the diameter of the rotating body to 0.01 mm increments when measuring peripheral speed (L.SPEED) with the TM-3100?
For example, if you want to set the diameter of the rotating body to 63.66 mm,
DIAMETER 636.6 mm,
Please set the pulse factor (FACTOR) to 1.00000x10E-1 (= 1.00000x10- 1).
The following calculations are performed using the TM-3100.
Peripheral speed (mm/s) = Measurement frequency (Hz) ÷ Number of pulses x Diameter value (mm) x π x Pulse factor
Peripheral speed (m/min) = Measurement frequency (Hz) x 60 ÷ Number of pulses x Diameter value (mm) x 0.001 x π x Pulse factor
