HT-5500 contact and non-contact handheld tachometer: "Although the circumferential speed ring cannot be applied, the rotation axis is accessible and the diameter of the rotating body is known. Can the circumferential speed be calculated from the rotational speed?"

The HT-5500 can determine the linear speed from the rotational speed by setting the diameter of the object being measured.

<Operation Procedure>

Press the 'MENU' button to enter parameter setting mode.
Use the "MODE & NEXT" switch to enter the "ADAPTOR-SEL (ADP)" mode, and use the "RECALL & ↑" switch and the "MEMORY & →" switch to select [S-300] (rotating contact KS-300).
Select [m/min] in "UNIT-SEL (UNT)" mode.
Set the diameter of the object being measured in 'DIAMETER-SET (DIA)' mode (1 to 999 mm).
Press the 'MENU' button again to switch to measurement mode.
When the KS-300 rotary contact sensor is pressed against the center of the rotation axis, the peripheral speed (m/min) calculated from the input values of rotational speed and diameter is displayed on the display section.
